Both chloroplasts and mitochondria are membrane bound organelles which contain an interior membrane matrix with an abundance of surface area.  The theory of endosymbiosis indicates that they were both possibly free living single cell organisms and were incorporated into the cellular system through phagocytosis, meaning that the parent cell devoured the smaller cell.  Over time they became permanent organelles in a symbiotic relationship with their hosts.

.Name two cell organelles that are double membrane bound? Why they are called as semiautonomous organelle? Name the hypothesis related to the origin of these organelles? What are the molecular facts that support the hypothesis?

.What is the advantage of an organism to have tissues instead of the one type of cells? .

Both are membrane bounded orgenelles and have their own DNA and ribosomes. Both form energy.
