There have been many varried estimates as to the Earth's human carrying capaticy. The first known estimate for was made by the scientist Antonie van Leeuwenhoek in 1679. He estimated the capacity to be 13.4 billion people.
Estimates rage between 1 billion to over 1 trillion people. The average of estimates is between ten billion and fifteen billon people.
