in 1947 at the age o 18 months my parents were told I had secondary anemia and that there wasn't anything they could do for me, and if my parents believed in prayer to take me home and pray for me. I have never heard the term secondary anemia used in my adult life. I would like to know what it really is and what if anything it is called today, and if there is a modern day treatment for it.
