Strep throat is caused by the bacteria streptococcus. Typhoid Fever is caused by the bacteria Salmonella enterica.
Salmonella enterica which causes Typhoid Fever is usually found in cattle and poultry, though also other animals such as domestic cats. In humans, the bacteria usually causes desease by being ingested.
Streptococcus are not only responsible for strep throat but also for many cases of meningitis, bacterial pneumonia, endocarditis and erysipelas. Streptococcs is also known to cause necrotizing fasciitis also known as "flesh eating" bacterial infections.
