What does control mean in science?

I need to know wat control meens for an experiment.

It is sort of a way to measure to see how well an experiment does compared against the control.

Sort of seeing if a pair of pantsthat fits you and  you it is size "xmy", if the ones you try on then fit you, they are "xmy", too
