The  tissue regeneration process is complex in vertebrates, but nevertheless, salamanders possess strong powers of regeneration, which begins immediately after amputation. Limb regeneration in the axolotl and newt has been extensively studied. This begins with adult stem cells. Even limbs can be regrown.
