What are some ways that plants are able to defend themselves against their predators?

They can have an awful taste.

They can have spines and thorns.

They can be poison.

There can be many, many of them. So some will be left alone.

They could be too high or too low to reach or too hard to reach.

They can live where those which eat them usually don't go.
