I am doing some research on epigenetics and am having a difficult time understanding some of the concepts. From what I have read it seems like parts of the epgentic structure are inherited and parts can be affected by other factors like developmental stage, cell type and even nutrition of the mother during pregnancy. Can someone explain a little more about how this works?
